How to install vehicle lettering

Vehicle lettering, just like any vinyl lettering, is cut out directly from the regular vinyl and is shipped pre-masked and pre-spaced with transfer tape. This product is usually implemented to either vehicle windows or doors, but the adhesive is so versatile that it can truly be installed anywhere on the vehicle. DOT lettering, for example, is sometimes implemented on the tailgate of a vehicle for fast and simple identification. The installation process for car lettering is quite easy.

Step 1

Just like installation of vehicle wraps, the very first step is to clean the whole area of the vehicle where the lettering should be installed. Leave the vehicle to get dried completely, inside if possible so that the dust and dirt doesn’t collect on the vehicle.

Step 2

The lettering you get will be one piece, hence you don’t have to install every letter separately, as that would be harder and time taking. Vehicle lettering is backed on both the sides which protect the adhesive until it is installed, while the layer on the top is just masking tape that holds the letters together for simpler installation. Measure the body panel, the door or window to get the centre point, and tape the top of the lettering to the vehicle with masking tape.

Final Step

Once you have finished applying the lettering with the squeegee, swipe across the whole piece one more time to ensure it is strongly adhered. Gently peel the masking tape layer away; unveiling the finished car sign just like church banners Richmond VA.

Keep on cleaning your vehicle at regular intervals to protect the vinyl. If grime and dirt builds up around the top of the vinyl, it can commence to depreciate with the passage of time. If you have installed car window decals, it is suggested that you utilize your rear windshield wiper only when it is urgently required.
